The Sacrifice

i’ve truly never watched a film before that felt entirely like i was in a dream. every frame was a tapestry. Tarkovsky takes his time with each shot starting off so far away and takes the camera along with the characters so effortlessly you hardly realize it moved. i’m so excited to watch this again in a couple of years having completely forgotten it. if i get the chance i definitely will be watching his other films on a big screen as well. it would be a fucking crime to watch something this beautiful on a phone or tv.
