Princess Mononoke

I saw a lot of these movies (including this one) at such a young age that I was barely able to comprehend what movies were good and which ones were bad. Therefore, this is the 4th Ghibli movie that I consider myself having actually watched. I also consider it possibly the worst of the Ghiblis I have watched. However, it’s still a 10/10. Apart from our protagonist, I really don’t enjoy any of the characters and while I understand and in some cases, resonate with their perspectives, they’re all too blindsided by hate to come across as righteous for any side. Obviously, this was miyazakis idea when making this movie and he executed it in the best way he possibly could. I just think that not having a particular side to cheer for hurts a movie more than it could ever help it. But the world building that Miyazaki pulls off guarantees its spot in cinema history.  Also that face deer guy was chill
