Titanic
(Just a couple notes I jotted down)
loved the part where the old rich guy said “life is a game of luck” to all the other old rich guys.
Leo truly is just something special. Every rich person apart from Kathy Bates and Rose is just astoundingly insufferable in this movie.
They really did such a great job at making the Titanic itself feel so grandiose. Every scene where the characters are having a good time just feels so wrong to smile at when you know what comes next.
I literally put this movie on to watch with a couple friends and they laugh for about 10 minutes because of the propeller guy. To be fair that was funny.
I knew Cal was a prick the second I learned that his name was Cal like in another life this is a lacrosse player who still uses Snapchat
Great performance by the devil incarnate (roses mother)
Liked the bodyguard character because he looks like if Leslie Nielsen from The Naked Gun decided to get his shit together
Jack could NOT have fit on the door. Do people not know how weight works? They would’ve both sank. Plus why risk even the idea of Kate Winslet dying.
I genuinely hate in one bearded guy that’s in all the flash forwards like his entire role as a character is just to be a pessimistic douchebag. He sees this old lady reminiscing on her times on the titanic and decided to harshly explain what happened to the person that lived through it like READ THE ROOM.
Wish I could travel back in time 104 years just so I could flex a random 20 dollar bill.
Maybe my favorite shot of this whole movie is right after the iceberg hits. It shows a young man on the steering wheel with his hands shaking and almost frozen at the same time. It’s obvious that he feels guilt even though he’s done all he could. It’s the first sign of the movie that shows the direction that we’re about to head into.
Titanic without spoilers and without historical knowledge has to be the coolest thing ever btw
