i usually don’t sit through long movies unless I’m already invested in the topic, but this shit was mad entertaining the whole way through. It was funny as hell, everybody played their role perfectly, and the whole office really felt like one big rich, drugged-out cult. Jordan Belfort wasn’t just teaching people how to sell stocks. He was making them feel like they were chosen, like being around him meant they were part of something bigger. The speeches, the office, the money, the drugs, all of it felt like one big ass spiritual awakening for people who worship greed. That’s probably what made the movie so entertaining to me. It’s funny asf, but at the same time, there’s this realism to it.
