Crown On The Ground in the first minute did it for me. This is like a period piece to me no movie has given me so much nostalgia for middle school. I wanted to see this so bad at 13 and my mom was very smart for not letting me

I have some issues w the pacing once they get to america but amanda seyfried ate down and the birth scene is revolutionary. I’ve been very interested in stories about ppl who reach some sort of enlightenment/gnosis/radicalization (in a good way) despite and even thru their religion. I like how the movie shows her realizations probably didn’t have much to do with God at all.
