There's this kind of quiet haunting that you could only experience in slow-paced films that vow to portray the complexities of life, family, and friendships, but this time it's in the eyes of a 14-year-old whose developing outlook of the world is tainted by the hardships of growing up in a dysfunctional home. I wasn't in the best mind space to fully appreciate this film when I watched it, as it gave me the sense of a clenched jaw and a warm hug simultaneously. It's the same feeling I used to have when I was the same age as Eunhee in this film.. probably what made me too wary that I wasn't able to fully feel comfortable in absorbing the narrative. I'm gonna have to rewatch this once my shoulder feels lighter.
