Barbie

This movie looks amazing, the set pieces, outfits, choreography, casting, and color draw you in. There’s a couple times however where there’s supposed to be a real car and it’s obviously cgi and was a little distracting. The characters are very believable, funny, and enjoyable. Barbie is a very fun character with a great lens to view the real world and sexism through as well as ken who provides a lot with his characters take on toxic masculinity and how it can be changed. The movie is very in your face with its message with Ferrari’s character spelling out the point to the audience multiple times which felt unnecessary the second time. The humans in this movie didn’t get a ton of development or time. All in all these flaws are easily overlooked by me with how fun the whole thing is whether that’s visually, hysterically, or even thoughtfully.
