Angry Young Men
A decent enough documentary that delved deep into the lives of Salim and Javed, a dynamic duo that reshaped the Indian film industry for good. The documentary has an elaborate cast of people who share anecdotes of the two writers. Also what was good about this documentary was how it focused on the personal aspects. That story of Salim Khan and his mother was just upsetting :( and their personal lives and relationships. I also liked the fact that they spoke about the inspiration for their films and their famous characters like Vijay. And they noted how their films reflected the angst of Indian society and politics of the 1970s. I also felt they probably could have discussed how women were represented in their films because that's a very interesting aspect on how they gave very progressive characters of the era.
