Inside Out
Saying this movie was my favorite movie of all time on the papers my old private school would make me do for my enrollment makes so much sense now. Hence, I was only about 7-10 saying this. Looking back, it’s crazy how in touch I was with my emotions at that age cause none of my friends said this was their favorite movie. Everyone around me joked about the dream sequence where the dead rat comes alive and says ‘Come live with me Riley 🧟♀️’ and that was about it. But I also didn’t know what my favorite movie was at the time, so this was my safe option. And it still is. This is one of many movies I remember seeing with my entire family when it was still in one piece, which is probably another reason why it means so much. I remember sitting in the theater near my brother and mom looking at the theater screen with amazement and suspense hoping that Joy and Sadness will make it back too headquarters. This movie was a heavy hitter to me then, and it still is now. Part of growing up is understanding things you didn’t before, and this movie is one of them. We all watched this movie when it came out with rose-tinted childhood glasses but now going back too it we can see the true message behind it. Out of every Pixar film, this movie is the most deserving of its sequel, though it was repetitive, I missed our girl :,) 🫶🏼
