Lady Bird
softness of childhood, girlhood, and the complex relationships
i thought this was my autobiography movie. she loves her mom and also hates her. she wants to grow and breach. she denied her identity and accepted it. she wanted to leave california and she did. only to look back and realize it wasn't all so bad.
i don't think anyone can resonate with this movie as much as i did. i cried through every scene because it was like looking at myself. and i am so so so proud of her.
i understand my mom after this. a young, fragile girl that was part of her is growing. even though, she left the airport, they both knew deep down how much they love each other and how much they mean to each other.
growing is hard and accepting is hard but once you accept your feelings truly, it is not so complicated anymore.
