Just plain boring. There is so much dead weight on this film, I do not understand the need for delving into the lack lustre love story of Irene and Esposito when I could have very much used that energy invested into Morales' and his wife's relationship somewhere towards the start of the film. The Gómez reveal was underwhelming even after the beautifully crafted and high octane stadium scene because there is absolutely no worthwhile pretext to the whole situation and because they forgot to give life to the woman who was meant to be the emotional anchor of the story, just a intial scene with the woman smiling doesn't cut it for me. Also the elephant in the room: THE TWIST, there was no twist at all. Obviously such a devoted husband won't accept that Gómez was roaming freely go so easily, he would take the matters into his own hands and there was no way in hell that if he caught hold of the guy would he kill him because in his own words “What would four bullets get me?” and "They'll give him an injection and he'll take a nap. It's not fair.” The only thing I had to say at the end of the film was that I support an avenging husband's rights and wrongs. Last completely unnecessary pick: The fact that Morales just completely looks centuries older 25 years older and Esposito remains completely unscathed by the passage of time irks me more than it should.
