The Green Ray
i watched this this morning, and i've been thinking about it all day, trying to find the right words to describe how it made me feel
i've never related to a character as much as i did to this one
never in my life have i felt so understood, i genuinely saw a piece of my soul in her
i love how this film portrays loneliness in such a beautiful way
the feeling of not knowing exactly what you want, but knowing with complete certainty what you do nof want. it also captures the feeling of wanting someone you connect with effortlessly so bad, someone who just gets you
'raw' that's the best word for it
the way it portrays all of this is perfect
the timing of me finding this film was kind of crazy, because less than a week ago, a friend told me, "*you're way too avoidant for someone whose biggest fear is spending their whole life alone."*
and i immediately replied, "stfu i find peace in being on my own and i know i could survive that."
but after watching this i started questioning what i said
could i really survive that?
Hell nah i really wont't XD
i don't want to spend my whole life alone but at the same time i don't feel comfortable being anyone's anything, if that makes sense.
especially when you know how hard it is to find someone whose thoughts align with yours so naturally that everything between you just flows
i have so much more to say about this film, but i'm stopping here because if i keep writing, i'll probably end up crying my eyes out
THIS IS A VERY SENSITIVE TOPIC FOR ME, OKAY?!?!
ps: i also really love that it is without a script, maybe that's why i felt so attached to it
