Get Out done it so much better

Subpar acting, cringe dialogue, unmemorable characters and a lacklustre plot. This didn’t have to drag on for like 2 hours I strongly, ***strongly*** hate when people write women the way Cassie was written, her mum is an immigrant, she’s ***all*** about feminism, she dislikes men, has a sour attitude but it’s ‘suppose to be strong cause she won’t let a man walk over her!’ It was all such an ick to me like that was her entire personality. I’m all for a complex woman but there wasn’t a hint of that with her.

***“Years from now… I wonder what you will say about us, will you even acknowledge that we were human?”*** My favourite part about this film was how it humanised the Nazi’s. Genuinely, I’ve never encountered this before and I’m floored by the execution. Without a shadow of a doubt the Nazi’s were completely diabolical in every sense but they were human at the end of the day. They loved, hated and believed just like the rest of us but they took their beliefs and hatred, using them on the wrong things. I could write an essay on how much I love this film, the themes it explores, the dynamics between characters… just everything about it. But I’ll save that for another day! Ending this off by saying praise be to that British guy who basically dug Göring’s grave with his questions

If Fight Club and Mean Girls had a movie child it’s this!
