Cronenberg Wowwww man what a visionary. I went into this blind and I was trying figure out what genre this movie was and I think by the first or second crash, looking at the closeups on their bodies and shift in energy the characters, I had the sense of unease? Body horror could go easily wrong but this has the most interesting take on a body horror not by gore but by intimacy. Going through the movie seeing our protagonist slowly and awkwardly become apart of this cult is brutal and the ending leaving us with a shot of our characters not being left satisfied after going through all the trouble to scratch this itch they been trying to find but to be left still in the same place we began.
