“Ernest Hemingway once wrote ‘The world is a fine place and worth fighting for,’ I agree with the second part” Gut wrenching, disturbing, vile, fucked up, but I couldn’t look away. Even knowing the ending (partly; just what was in the box) it still twisted me on the inside. Watching the back and forth between Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey was jaw dropping, some of the best dialogue ever. David Fincher is almost as twisted as John Doe for creating this. The city and atmosphere is so dark and depressing, the rain adds to the melancholy as the murders and suspense build. An absolute masterpiece with one of the greatest 3rd acts ever created.
