Perras
I am truly divided on how to feel about this movie, if on one side I was deeply cut by the real themes of disassociation, alienation, to stronger ones like abortion, on the other I felt kinda disgusted by the masculine views this movie sometimes takes, the girls are at moments uncomfortably sexualised.
But maybe that's the point, feel disgusted, uncomfortable, and question the reality that a teenage girl could be living, especially one growing up in realities of countries where the privilege of being a girl still means sometimes to shield yourself in ways others don't have to.
Cuz yes to become 15 in Mexico means becoming a woman, but is that real? Does your body, your mind, your intuitions change? I cried.
Might have to watch again, love the stylistic choice of each girl's tale.
For the real girls that poop.
