NO I’M NOT CRYING THE DECIBELS JUST FORCED THE LIQUID OUT OF MY EYES OR SOMETHING! not the biggest fan of musicals but this hits so hard partly cuz of my nostalgia seeing the musical years ago, but mostly because of the heart this movie has, you can truly tell when the people making a movie love what they're doing. and it shows! from the songs to the acting to the sets, to the directing by Jon M. Chu that delivers on every front with spectacular visuals, and especially to the bond and chemistry that the leading actresses are able to create. Cynthia and Ariana are a killer duo that makes this cake of a movie feel real and special. I just fucking love cinema.
