Barbie

i really loved this movie, initially i watched it for my inner childhood, the femininity, and how fun it seemed to be (also mostly for margot robbie), but i didn’t expect it to be so relatable. it was honestly better than i thought it would be. i loved that they explored the worlds of both ours and barbies. the high-expectations for women, the patriachy, and standing up for feminism. i was definitely torn between mixed emotions the entire movie, i experienced all happy, sad, tearing up, angry, and laughing most of times. im so sad neither barbie or margot robbie received an award for this movie. really proves the entire point. i love love love 2024 barbie summer, i’ll really miss it, i will definitely rewatch this movie again.
