Come and See
A heinous and perverted display of the dissection of innocence, this is not a depiction of sadism and violence but rather an eye-gouging, unrelenting and visceral 142 minute experience that does not provide an ounce of catharsis, respite or resolution. It is entirely sickening. The lingering images do not feel like constructed camera shots, instead they are like haunting flashbacks or rather reminders of humanity's evil that become seared into your mind as if suffering itself could drill into your head. The survivors envy the dead and rightfully so for it is debatable whether anything that makes them human actually survives. Makes any other war film look like sesame street.
