Yi Yi
edward yang's portrayal of life is actually mindblowing. it's as if at the start of the movie, he placed the characters, their situations and their personalities and just, let them live, while he poetically captures every event taking place, even the seemingly insignificant ones, the ones we aren't able to see: and just like yang-yang's pictures, the director makes us see what we often don't see, things that we know are there but we tend to ignore or forget about due to the fast and chaotic pace of our everyday lives
a slow and poetic masterpiece about living, and this is coming from a slow cinema "hater"
