This film made me deeply realize that I don’t communicate enough with my father, to make matters worse we stopped having conversations that didn’t revolve around school or well "higher studies" once I turned 10 or so around Sophie’s age. Calum telling Sophie she could tell him anything brought me to tears because I know very well that my dad would never utter such words to me and I find it sad because, after the age of 10, I was hit with the fact that he didn’t take care of me out of love. After all, he had to, because it was his fatherly duty and in fact, he repeats that to me shamelessly from time to time. I am heavily conflicted with the fact that when he is on his death bed I most likely won’t have a single great memory of the two of us.
Also, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to listen to "Under Pressure Again", and to think that I was hesitant about watching this movie😹.
