Running on Empty

Now this one hit a lot harder. These revolutionary parents bombing a U.S. weapons/military lab during the Vietnam War and having to flee from the government; it just makes me think of all the people breaking into Elbit & the people of pal action happening now. It felt very relevant.  The scene of the mom’s birthday where they are all dancing to Fire & Rain is so lovely and inviting and warm. I wish I could have a family like theirs. It made me think a lot of where I’m at in my life now. resisting the system & pursuing my career under the capitalist control. Danny’s choice of wanting to pursue piano in college, revolutionaries building community wherever they went, identity and change, saying goodbye for now also Danny and Lorna are so precious
