Beautiful Boy
“Someone asked me what my problem is.. Im an alcoholic and an addict. No, that’s how you deal with your problem.”
Extra star because I like sad Steve carell.
This movie was okay, it was edited in a non-linear way, making it hard to tell where we were in the film. Which isn’t bad, but a lot of the settings and backdrops looked similar, so I couldn’t tell whether he was at rehab or college or whatever. At least the home was a stand out. I think this film is a great example of how great acting can make a mediocre film a lot better. The performances were absolutely phenomenal.
For extra devastation, I read the book right before I watched this and it made me cry. I recommend reading the book as it is a lot better than the film.
