Before Midnight
“Like sunlight, sunset, we appear, we disappear. We are so important to some, but we are just passing through.”
The Before trilogy is the closest thing we might ever get to a realistic depiction of love, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy do such an incredible job at making you believe they are Jesse and Celine that it stops being a story with characters and starts just being a reflection of real life in its most intimate forms and moments. Those last 40 minutes are so genuinely powerful
I have to buy the Criterion set as soon as possible
