Dune

This is the 5th time or perhaps the 3rd official viewing of Dune and I am naturally in awe of this colossal feat.  95/100 It is criminal for most people who enjoy part 2 more than this. Dune is a phenomenal Sci-Fi breakthrough whereas part 2 is merely an action & visual triumph. For those craving a summer blockbuster, they might prefer part 2, but I dare say part 1 is the better film and it’s the most perfect way to introduce the audience to the world of Dune.  If there was one thing I’d like to alter to see improvements in the movie, it’d had to be Chani’s last words - “this is only the beginning”. There is no denying that is one of the lamest quotes ever being recycled blatantly in numerous movies we see in this day. As cliche as it sounds, Denis thought it was alright to pass so imma quickly stop grieving over it, then shower Dune with all the praise I can get from 2 cinephiles I know in real life. Thanks Denis.
