The 80s - Back when the Nolan brothers hadn’t thought of The Prestige, the glory days of simplistic, minimalistic Sci-Fi splendour saunters carefree without the exploitation of Marvelised Hollywood theme park theatre. Those good ol days that brought as much fun to a different world of science, Cronenberg inputs his own gore and horror to the sexiness of the human anatomy. Jeff Goldblum clears every other Spider-Man actor and that proves the worthiness of Cronenberg having the cult rep that he has till today. He doesn’t just put out a good story, he finds an incredibly good lead to play the part.
