The Wind Rises
The work of a master . . .
A tiny blend of Oppenheimer and Aviator, creating the best anime biopic I have ever witnessed. I tried to scrutinize some intricacies to find places where Miyazaki might have struggled, but I was met with a failed attempt. The Wind Rises is flawless, one of a kind, a relatively new film that exceeds expectations like wind breezing through the crevices of my hair. It was stupidly close of being the magnum opus of Miyazaki, but I guess he improves each time he makes a new film, which turns up my excitement for his next project.
