Yk a type of horror that I will always love is the kind that plays with the idea of being out of this world and yet it is so unbelievably real
I haven’t watched magic since 2021 and tbh it might be the best depiction of that type of horror, an eerie and ultimately tragic slow burn that surrounds the unraveling of one man trying to escape his violent impulses that manifest through his dummy, this dual role will always be my favourite Anthony Hopkins performance and frankly even as someone who has a soft spot for creepy doll/dummy films this one might just be my favourite 🤷🏻♀️ I’m so glad I got to be reminded of how good it is on a rewatch <33
I also feel like anyone who liked the boy will ultimately end up liking this one, we love silly little men in cozy outfits 🥰
