Elvis
This film, without a doubt, is the best film of the 2020s. Bright colours, vintage nostalgia, ELVIS PRESLEY. It is one of the best biopics I have ever watched (maybe even the best) and coming from somebody who is not a huge Baz Luhrmann fan, he has earned a lot of respect for this film. The cinematograph, editing, and mise en scène is perfection.
However, it would have been a five star film if it had included more scenes (hopefully coming soon) and extracted that awful Doja Cat song. Nevertheless, the soundtrack is impeccable and the narration is the cherry on top. The acting from all the characters and the accuracy (Austin Butler is 50/50) is remarkable. I also appreciate how much effort into creating an accurate and beautiful historical setting without going overboard or too stereotypical.
This film is a must for any Elvis fan or music fan who wants to expand their knowledge.
