Train Dreams
*a gentle, flickering little miracle of a film.
*
wow... it’s that kind of sadness that doesn’t hit you all at once, but slowly seeps in, like someone quietly pressing a hand against your chest. it’s soft, but deep, and it lingers.
the movie really made me think about how a person keeps moving even after life has taken so much from them, there’s this quiet grief humming underneath everything, not dramatic, not shouted, just… lived. you can see it in the silences, in the way he looks at the world like he’s trying to fit himself back into it after it’s changed beyond recognition.
what really got me were the small moments, the ordinary ones, they’re the heaviest somehow, the world keeps going, nature keeps breathing, and he’s just trying to find a shape for this new version of his life, carrying around an absence that doesn’t shrink with time. but even with all that sorrow, the film has warmth:)) a kind of human warmth that feels honest, like yeahh, people break, but they also keep stitching themselves back together in these quiet, stubborn ways. it’s one of those films you don’t just watch, you feel it. and the sadness is deep, but weirdly beautiful...
