Fuck gentle parenting i’m showing my kids Ringing Bell one day idgaf  It’s discouraging that this movie will never move beyond its cult classic status. But it’s understandable — it’s jarring, depressing, a classic ptsdesque movie for children blah blah blah. But it’s so beautiful. It’s so hypnotic and the sudden shift in tone works so much better than most horror movies coming out today. Literally one of the best animated films ever Sanrio needs to run this back immediately

This is Banshees of Inisherin but just stripped of all metaphor and subtlety. In a world where a lot of media is pretty abstract and open to interpretation, I appreciate a straight forward story. John B Keane stays on top. Changing the British character in the play to an American is pretty apt.

Had to watch this with ads seriously fuck you Hulu oh my god  At first this just felt like a classic 70s paranoid political thriller but I love those so I was just down for the ride. But the lack of context until the last act really elevates this movie to something so special. This movie is like building a 100 piece jigsaw puzzle but then being told you can’t look at the cover image. You can figure out what generally interlocks together and there’s not a lot of moving pieces, but it’ll probably take a second to trust your intuition. Such a breath of fresh air for a director to actually respect the intelligence of the audience. The reverence Filho has for memory is so moving it makes me weepy  Also Wagner Moura is so handsome can’t believe i let people call me crazy for feeling him as Pablo Escobar. I was right…should’ve trusted my intuition
