> *"I fucking hate men" - Cebe* Odd. Beautiful. Devastating and fucked up. An under-seen masterpiece. It's a bit jumbled but that honestly just adds to it. This film portrays a young girl who's forced to grow up way too fast due to her awful parents, and you really feel for her. Especially that ending man.

Really well made, just doesn't quite land as well as some of the other "sound-tape" political thrillers (the conversation blows this one away) The performances lack something, notably the chemistry between them. But Lithgow being a batshit crazy person bumps it up a star on its own.

Gets overshadowed by The Twilight Samurai in just about every way but this is still a super decent entry in what has become one of my favourite film trilogies.
