love is not a noun, it’s a verb. it’s not a status, just something you are “in” or “not in”. it’s the actions you take, the ways you actively cherish the people you love every day—and you can’t do that if you’re always worried about what will happen. if you spend all of your time worrying about if this person that you love will leave or no longer be there, that’s another day you need to be there with them. there is love and goodness out there, you just have to have it in yourself to see it despite the detritus of the world we live in.
