Dune: Part Two
Dune: Part Two is seriously a masterclass in modern film. Denis Villeneuve directs the absolute shit out of this, this is Nolan level visionary work. The character study and fall of Paul Atreides is so well written, all of the best aspects of Anakin Skywalker are put into this stellar character. The Paul and Chani dynamic shined and made Paul’s political decision to marry the daughter even more frustrating and unfortunate. The rise of the freemen was really cool to see play out over the course of the film as Paul leads and teaches them.
I can’t believe I waited this long to watch these films, and I know they are gonna stick the landing next year with the trilogy capper. Everything about this film shined, and it honestly really enhanced the first film for me personally.
