Whiplash

Whiplash has changed me. What a film. I’m currently debating on whether or not to put in on my top 4 favorites page. Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons turn in some of the greatest performances i’ve ever witnessed in modern cinema, just brilliant stuff. The direction and visuals of the film on Damien Chazelle’s part are just perfect and stunning. The theme of the cost of greatness is executed to a tea. The car crash and everything after is one of the greatest thirty minutes in fiction. Just watching Andrew slowly decline into madness with leaving his girlfriend to disconnecting with his family was out of this world phenomenal. I can’t put into words how amazing this film was
