This might not be the best movie of the year, but it's definitely one of my favorites. Watching this made me yearn for something I know I'll probably never have, a smalltown rec team for a sport I can barely play. There's something comforting about the simplicity of what they're here for, and sentimental simultaneously. Nothing about this film is grandiose, and it acknowledges that it's nothing special, other than a group of men enjoying their sport one last time. I'd kill to be able to share my experiences like that, maybe some time in the future with a flag football team. Everything about this movie just hits me and I can't explain why.
