Twinless
Nothing makes me happier than going into a film with zero expectations and coming out the other side completely in love because it turned out to be my kind of film. That was exactly my experience with Twinless. A perfect Christmas watch. Funny, sad, a bit awkward, deeply enjoyable, and quietly addictive. It keeps you hooked the whole time. A gentle but aching story about loss, grief, identity and loneliness, told with so much warmth.
Dylan O’Brien really shines in this role. The moustache absolutely suits him 😏 And I love seeing Aisling Franciosi ♥️ She’s been one of my favourite actresses ever since The Nightingale, and her character in Twinless is lovely and endearing.
But the moment that truly made me gasp was when François Arnaud appeared 😩 I kept rewinding just to watch his scene at the party again. Every time he smiles, I can’t help but blush. I’m fully obsessed with Heated Rivalry, and I knew I’d seen him before. The Borgias was my first thought, but then I checked his filmography and realised he’s Antonin in I Killed My Mother 😳 What an absolute dreamboat.
Anyway, I can already tell I’ll be rewatching this before the year wraps up. I loved it that much!
