I enjoy revisiting this film every year. This film doesn’t get enough recognition on how good it is. We seem to only recognize this film when we talk about Saoirse Ronan films and this as her top tier performance. This will always be Saoirse’s best performance. This role was truly meant for her especially I know how much this role/story means a lot to her. Saoirse truly captured the homesickness experience flawlessly. Love her naturalism in acting and the expressions in her eyes were very subtle yet speaks such volume. She brought a very moving performance for such a touching story. Tony is an underrated love interest/boyfriend in film as well. I watched Saoirse films in the past, growing up, but this film was what made me think I should start rooting and keeping up with her. Not only shes amazing in every single role she’s in but she’s involved in numerous of unforgettable and lovely films! Truly the best in the film industry.
