The Florida Project
A movie about innocence and growing up as a kid while dark things happen in the background. Most of the film follows three children, Moonee, Scooty, and Jancey. Watching this movie as someone who grew up in a broken home, its hard to find the right word to describe it. Nostalgia implies affection and happy feelings towards the past. It's hard to look at a childhood where you are able to do the fun things that come with it like exploring, lack of consequences, and just having fun, ignorant to the world around you and also realize that that was some seriously fucked up shit. It was a very bittersweet film. Also, the final scene was terrible, I recommend turning the movie off once the last line comes.
