Mirrors

"I feel like I'm not the one looking into the mirrors, but they're looking back at me." Mirrors has a really excellent concept that is executed well, with a couple of horrifyingly excellent death sequences and a great psychological breakdown from Kiefer Sutherland's character. There is quite a bit of gore in the film, but that is to be expected from an Alexandre Aja film. However, what really elevates Mirrors to masterpiece level is the ending. The ending of this film is genuinely one of the best of the 21st century, up there with Inception and Memories of Murder, and really does make the film a lot better and leaves an incredible lasting impact. Overall, Mirrors is a pretty much forgotten film that many horror fans disregard as wasted potential. In reality, it deserves a far closer look as an underrated classic with one of the most memorable endings of all time.
