The Time Machine

"We all have our time machines, don't we? Those that take us back are memories and those that carry us forward, are dreams." The 2002 adaption of H.G. Wells' The Time Machine is criminally overhated and all that, but can someone tell me who's stupid idea it was to cast Samantha fucking Mumba as a lead character!?
