What Lies Beneath

Claire: "Hello, Doctor Spencer." Norman:* "You're not yourself today are you?" * Claire: "No, no I'm not." What Lies Beneath is a really great mystery thriller that has suspense throughout and some nice performances from Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford, with the final bathtub scene (there are many) being the best moment in the film. However, I wasn't a huge fan of some of the supernatural aspects as they weren't executed perfectly. It was still great, but the campy jumpscares when Michelle Pfeiffer's face changed into the dead girl's took me out of the film a bit and was tonally imbalanced with the rest of the slow, suspenful story.
