Spider-Man
“I said... uh... Spider-Man, said uh... The great thing about MJ is... when you look in her eyes and she's looking back in yours... everything... feels... not quite normal. Because you feel stronger and weaker at the same time. You feel excited and at the same time, terrified. The truth is... you don't know what you feel except you know what kind of man you want to be. It's as if you've reached the unreachable and you weren't ready for it."> “Well... to each his own. I chose my path, you chose the way of the hero. And they found you amusing for a while, the people of this city. But the one thing they love more than a hero... is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you. Why bother?”> “Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-Man.**Just wanted to get my top 3 favourite quotes out of the way.

This is easily the greatest piece of cinematic fiction ever conceived. Everything. Every little detail.
From the absolutely perfect, and in my opinion, the greatest score of all time composed by Danny Elfman. Which just fits the tone, pacing, vibe, and atmosphere of every single scene. Elevating it to the absolute maximum.
To the flawless acting, the perfectly executed characters portrayed by the absolute greats. Willem Defoe as Norman Osborn, his remarkable dual performance as the green goblin. Easily the greatest villain portrayal in the history of fiction.
The absolutely remarkable origin story, which I will never ever find myself bored of, no matter how many thousands of times I watch it.
Spider-Man makes me feel every single wave of emotion under the spectrum of emotion. Romance, Grief, Hope, Fear, Pride, Resilience, Happiness, Nostalgia, Comfort.
Whenever I come to think of the term “Tears of joy”, the one thought that comes to mind is this remarkable movie, and of course its 2 followups. I genuinely find myself tearing up from the feeling of this movie pulling me in.
Sam Raimi. If I ever get the chance to meet you, I want to thank you. Thank you for directing this character exactly how I envisioned it from the graphic novels.
Thank you for changing my life. There has been so many downs in my life so far. So many moments where I feel like I am in a pit of sorrow, and every-time, this movie drags me out, makes me feel whole. It completes me.
Considering this is my second favourite of the trilogy. I want whoever is reading this (nobody) to buckle up for Spider-Man 2. That review might rival the bible in its word count.
“ Dresses like a spider, he looks like a bug, but we should all just give him one big hug... a-look out, hooo! Here comes the Spider-Man... “
