Inception
I saw Inception when I was younger but for some reason it didn't click for me. In rewatching this years later I've realized that this is one of the most creative & unique movies I've ever seen.
Inception & Interstellar both stand out in Nolan's catalogue as films portraying the nearly impossible journey of a man attempting to make it back to his family and reality as we know it. There's something about that journey that strikes an emotional chord which Nolan has failed to tap into in his other films.
The soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer that powerfully arrives in the film's ending scene combined with the relief that washes over Cobb and his team as they wake up from their nightmarish dream and slip back into reality makes it one of the GOAT endings for me.
It's the ambiguousness, the tension, the creativity, the sense of longing for the past, the soundtrack, the cinematography, and the action that makes this one of Nolan's greatest films.
