Sentimental Value

I feel like this would have hit even harder if I could have related more to some of the parental trauma but it definitely made me grateful for truly phenomenal parents and way below average childhood trauma. The first 3/4 of the movie lay some of the best character groundwork I’ve ever seen. Everyone feels so well thought out and cared for and you really know them. Then the last 1/4 just hits you like a freight train beat for beat as you see those characters and the backgrounds you’ve learned about really have to go at each other as their worlds collide.
