That right there is what you call a film. I don’t think it was necessary to have so many massive stars, it takes some really powerful acting to make someone not just register as said famous person. In particular the only big problem I have with this movie is Zendaya’s role, I just don’t think she was the right casting for Athena, it just felt like a big mistake in casting. But other than that it’s just such an accomplishment to have made such a cohesive story out of that movie which could have so easily gotten away or felt empty. The way Nolan moved from event to event without leaving room to breath made it so that not only did the movie not drag, but the constant intensity and back to back moments actually fatigue the viewer and make you feel like you have gone in an intense journey as well. To be completely honest even in the immediate after math of watching, I’m not in love with the movie, and it’s definitely not one I’ll be rewatching any time soon. Not particularly my thing. But that does not mean I don’t recognize the greatness, art, and accomplishment that is this movie. The craft of it all is undeniable, it is truly an artistic achievement.

Probably not the best movie to watch the night before my first day at a corporate job. I regret nothing.

This right here, is a perfect movie. The color palette, the acting, the textures, the sound, the writing, the ending, the beginning, all of it comes together in the best way. The kind of movie that makes you love life and wanna live it.

Amazing how Westerns are so simple, with simple good vs evil storylines and cut and dry, even overtly cliche dialogue. And yet, they have some of the most distinct, memorable, and impactful characters of any movies out there.
