Dune: Part Two
The sheer scale of this film is just mind blowing. Every single shot is beautiful and powerful. I'd say that this is one of the most immersive films I've seen and the ending was outstanding. It was hard to follow at times and the middle was slightly underwhelming for what I had heard, but this was a huge spectacle and I am so glad to have seen this on the big screen.
What I loved about this film was seeing how it was adapted from the book. The relationship between Paul and Chani in the novel feels unnatural and forced, whereas in the film they have a more realistic and fragile relationship. This half of the book would have been even harder to translate to the big screen and I thought it was done brilliantly. It ended in such a way that means anything could happen next, and I think it was done even more effectively than in the book.
