Inglourious Basterds
This is probably Quentin Tarantino's best work. The story itself is intriguing and the suspense from start to finish was executed brilliantly. I heard of an outstanding opening sequence in this film and I expected a dramatic and eventful action scene. Instead of this, I saw an opening scene that set the tone perfectly and the story was detailed to the viewer in such a way that didn't feel excessive and it allowed the plot to grow from there.
Every single performance from an outstanding cast was somehow better than the last, with actors such as Christoph Waltz and Diane Kruger dominating the screen. I loved the balance between sincerity and comedy. It was an amazing film overall and I'd say that there would be even more to gain from it on a rewatch.
