Chasing Amy

Probably my favourite Kevin Smith film, or at least one of my most watched. I do probably have some early-2000s tinted glasses on for it, but I think the chemistry between the cast is great, I think Joey L.A absolutely nailed her parts, her best role in my opinion. I get a lot of the criticism, it handles some things badly - but it feels like an earnest attempt to tell a story about how stupid and short sighted male pride is. It doesn't feel like you're supposed to be on Affleck's side and it absolutely doesn't feel like a "the right man can cure a woman of lesbianism" film.
