Airplane!

What can I say about this movie that hasn’t already been said? This is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen, and I always feel better after watching it. It’s just a nonstop laugh riot, and the jokes constantly keep coming, giving you little time to stop to take a breather. I think what works about this movie is that the characters’ say and do ridiculous stuff, but it’s played straight. The jokes are so memorable too. You can’t really quote one line without the movie without thinking of other funny lines as well. It’s just also the type of movie where you can quote it with a group of friends and they’ll keep bringing up other lines that are just as funny. Even when there’s no funny lines being said, the visual gags make up for it. The cast is great too, with of course Leslie Nielsen and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar being the standouts for me. Everyone is so memorable based on their jokes and they play off of each other so well. It’s just a simple but silyl movie. It’s easily one of my favorite movies and just a comfort movie for me whenever I need to just have a laugh.
